Personal Statement

As a full time-faculty member at New York Presbyterian/ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ Medical College, I practice general cardiology with a focus on cardio-oncology. I care for patients with a wide spectrum of cardiovascular diseases and have expertise in the management of cardiovascular disease in cancer patients before, during, and after cancer treatment. My specific clinical and research interests include prevention and management of cancer treatment- related cardiotoxicities, arterial thromboembolism in cancer patients, and multi-modality cardiac imaging (echocardiography and nuclear SPECT/PET). My goal is to collaborate with my patients and their providers to facilitate optimal cancer therapy while minimizing risk of short and long-term cardiovascular complications. In addition to caring for patients in the clinic and in the hospital, I also perform and interpret echocardiograms and cardiac nuclear imaging studies.
